Wigan Pride returns to the town centre on Saturday 8th August 2026, bringing a full day of colour, music and celebration back to Market Place. The event starts at 11am and remains completely free to attend, continuing its mission to celebrate equality, diversity and inclusion across the borough.

This year’s Pride is once again sponsored by Calisen, marking their second year as headline sponsor. Their support helps keep the event free and accessible for everyone, while backing the volunteer‑led team who organise the day.

Although the full programme is still being finalised, organisers have confirmed that 2026 will include the much‑loved opening parade, live music and entertainment across at least two stages, a community performance area, a quiet space led by Autism Friends, and a range of family‑friendly activities throughout the town centre. More details on performers and special guests will be released closer to August.

A Look Back at Last Year’s Wigan Pride

Wigan Pride 2025 marked the event’s 10‑year anniversary, drawing big crowds and filling the town centre with rainbow flags, drag performers, community groups and live music. The parade brought a huge splash of colour to the streets, with people lining the route to cheer on LGBTQ+ charities, local organisations and performers.

Last year’s event featured two stages of entertainment, community performances, a family area and a quiet zone — a format that will continue into 2026. Headliners in previous years have included Danny Beard, Sonia, Baga Chipz, Kelly Llorenna and The Cheeky Girls, supported by local artists.

The 2025 celebration was widely praised for its atmosphere, inclusivity and strong community turnout — setting the tone for another big year in 2026.
